This is what our second vehicle kit's gonna look like when it's installed. This cylinder here is gonna hold air. It's gonna get air from a tube that's running down to an L-bracket and fitting on the front of the vehicle, and that air is coming from the RV itself. Once it is passed through here, it passes through another line that is ran to the inside of the vehicle and ran into another cylinder. That cylinder then presses the brake when the brakes are applied in the RV while the vehicle is being flat-towed. more

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 Ford Edge, you're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for towed vehicles. Part number RM-156-25.Before we go over the installation, let me go over what's in the kit. You're gonna get some wire loom, some red wire, your circuit breaker, a large ring terminal, couple self-tapping screws and two smaller ring terminals. Now, depending on what size your battery terminal is, this ring terminal may need to be upgraded to a little bit bigger one.On the circuit breaker, you see a gold colored post and a silver colored post. The silver colored post is auxiliary, the gold colored is battery. And when you hook this up, you hook your wire up, the side that says battery is gonna come out to this six-pole plug you have mounted on the front of the vehicle and the auxiliary side is gonna run to the battery on your towed vehicle. Now, let me show you how I put it in. more

Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect Installation - 2017 Ford Edge

Speaker 1: Toady on our 2017 Ford Edge Sport we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster automatic battery disconnect, part number RM-766. What's good about the battery disconnect is it's gonna allow you to push a button and disconnect your battery in turn turning the power off to the inside of the vehicle. Now the reason you need that is for this Ford Edge when you're in tow mode you have to have the key in the on position, once it's in tow mode the switch will allow you to turn off your power in turn saving the power for your battery. When you get to where you're going you simply flip the switch and you're able to drive your car again without draining your battery. Now your solenoid is gonna mount underneath your hood, you can mount it to plastic or to metal. Keep in mind if it's mounted to plastic your kit's gonna come with a white wire, it's gonna be a ground wire, it will have to be grounded. If the solenoid is mounted to a metal surface you will not have to use that white wire to ground it. more

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2011 Ford Edge- Video

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2011 Ford Edge

Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 Ford Edge we will be having a look at, and showing you how to install the Road Master Battery Charge Line Kit for towed vehicles, Part Number RM-156-25.Here's what our charge line kit looks like installed. This charge line kit is going to be a great solution for those of you who flat tow your Edge behind a motor home. This will allow your vehicles battery to maintain a charge. This is especially great for those of you that have a supplemental breaking system in your vehicle. The supplemental breaking systems do require power source and typically they're hooked up to your vehicles battery. But since your engine's not running while your vehicles being towed, your alternator's not providing a charge to your battery so your battery can be run down and you will be greeted with a dead batter. more

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2014 Ford Edge- Video

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2014 Ford Edge

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Ford Edge, we'll be having a look at and installing the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles, part number RM-156-25. This is what a charge line kit looks like installed. Now the reason you may want one of these on your vehicle is, if you're using a portable braking system when you're flat towing your vehicle behind your motorhome, your portable braking system requires a source of power. Sometimes you can just plug into your cigarette lighter or your power outlet on your dash, but every time the pedal is depressed in the vehicle your battery is getting lower and lower and lower on charge.Without this in place, you won't have a way of your battery being recharged with your engine off in the vehicle when it's towed behind the motorhome. With this in place, this uses the constant 12-volt charge line off the seven way 00:00:58 on the back of the motorhome to run power into the circuit breaker here, through this line here, and then out this line back to your battery post on the positive side. Now, the connection is made on the front of our vehicle through our six pole round connector. Now that we've gone over some features of our Roadmaster charge line kit, we'll show you how to get it installed. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2011 Ford Edge 90885- Video

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2011 Ford Edge 90885

Today on 2011 Ford Edge, we're going to be installing the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 trailer brake controller. This controls 1 to 4 axles, and it is proportional. The part number on it is 90885. To do our install, we're also going to be using part number ETBC7. This is going to be the wiring for our brake controller, and part number 18136, which is going to be a no drill bracket mount. Here's what your brake controller is going to look like once you've got it installed onto your Edge. What these allow us to do is fine tune the amount of braking force that our trailer is going to exert as opposed to some of the older styles that used pressure or friction when you stopped or we're trying to back up to apply the brakes. This gives us a manual override here to where we can apply our trailer brakes before we've even hit our vehicle brakes, and as you'll see her, it's fully adjustable up and down to give us the appropriate braking force. more

Roadmaster Flexo-Coil Kit Installation - 2014 Ford Edge

Today on our 2014 Ford Edge, we're going to be installing the RoadMaster 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit, part number RM-146-7. Now to begin with, we're going to need to change a few things out on this vehicle. This vehicle already has a 4-flat on the front. It also has a brake signal wire that's coming so we're going to be tying the 4-flat wiring and the brake signal wire in with our 6-way plug that we'll mount here on the front of the vehicle. We'll need to first remove the existing 4-flat holder and bracket. Go ahead and trim off the old plug. Here's the plug that we're going to be installing. more
